Military memories
Margaret and KP Miller sent me a box of t-shirt quilts to make into at-shirt quilt for their daughter. They were very prepared and sent a diagram of the arrangement they wanted. The shirts were in very good condition. In looking at the shirts, I realized their daughter had served in the US Marine Corps. Miller’s very special t-shirt quilt is a tribute to her military service.
Progress
Once I finished the computer design Margaret had sent, I cut the shirts to size and began piecing them together. As requested, I used the colors scarlet and gold for the complimentary fabric needed between the shirts. Once the quilt top was completed, I took it to my Bernina longarm quilting machine and added a design.
Results
The shirts were all themed around the USMC and represented various locations around the world. Miller’s very special t-shirt quilt will hold memories for their daughter. And many thanks go to this young lady for her military service.
