I received a call from Julie Domecq seeking information on making memory quilts for daughter and daughter’s fiancé. After discussing ideas, Julie and t-shirt memory quilts were on the waiting list.
Preparations
We discussed the basics about the quilts, and Julie even sent me pictures of the layout she wanted for each of the quilts. This was an immense help to me, as I was able to keep a picture nearby as I worked on the quilts.
Finished products
It was interesting that the quilts were so different in content and color. Yet when completed, the finished quilts complimented each other. The Becker college Lacrosse quilt was mostly royal blue and black. The Lynchburg Women’s Soccer quilt had red, white, black, and gray. Adding borders of combinations of gray, red, black, and royal blue worked well with both quilts.
