I have always been an active person and persevered through any health issues that arose. A few months ago, my knees decided to protest at the wear and tear they have experienced over the years. A slight medical delay is needed in my sewing and quilting. I am scheduled to have right knee replacement surgery in 3 days. My surgeon is very good at what he does. He knows I am a quilter and says he will get me back to work as soon as possible – in 4-6 weeks. As for my customer orders, I have a waiting list and am adding them to it as needed.
Once all my pre-surgery tasks were complete, I realized I still had time to work on some projects for me that were long overdue. I am happy to report that I completed winter wall-hangings for sewing room, foyer and living room. And even a nice cozy winter throw is now on the couch. And yes, I know winter is almost over and spring is just around the corner. But I can enjoy these items while I am sitting around taking this slight medical leave.
