A long-time friend of mine, Don Pruett, passed away recently. I was given the honor of creating a couple of memory quilts, and memory bears using his dress shirts, and flannel pants. Jared Pruet, a grandson of Don, has three children, and I made special bears for each of them, using combinations of flannels for each bear. Jared and his wife Erica chose wonderful combinations of dress shirts to be used in a throw quilt. The first quilt featured a design of quarter triangles. The second quilt featured various shades of blues, surrounded with white sashings. Both quilts turned out beautifully. I feel certain these will bring lots of memories for years to come.
